I’ve Been Empowered, Why Don’t I Become A Problem Solver?

"Problems exist for me to solve" is what I always believe. Saying, "We believe that principle, definitely!" is easy. Doing it is another thing.

So many problems came into my life. Some of them were solved. I left other problems unresolved, because I thought it was the easiest way to solve them, hoping that they will go away or another people will solve them. But the truth is problems keep existing if we don’t take steps to solve!

Dscf0480_okBackpacking to Singapore-Malaysia-Thailand has taught me a lot, particularly on how I see the problems. Postponing problems is really really my BAD HABIT. I thougt I can solve them later, but I found my self did not take any action. At the end of the day, problems are heap.

When I was in Malaysia and Thailand, problems come every minute. I did not know where to find bus station, where to sleep, where to just buy the mineral water to drink, etc. They are problems! What happened if I postpone the problems? I will never reach my destination. I will not get many great views! My bag was lost in Hat Yai. The problem pushed me to think! Most of backpacker hostels in Singapore are full due to peak season. I have to solve it… I asked many people just to sleep on matress. Every bus I was in during the journey has uncomfortable seats… That’s the problem! I believe I will find the way to solve it if I spend enough time to THINK! There’s quote saying that we’re DEAD if we stop THINKING… I definitely agree with that… This backpacking experience has taught me a lot on how to see problems.

I went to Church when I was in Singapore. I was surprised that time because what I’ve learnt those days confirmed by Pastor. He shared the good news that Holy Spirit sent to every of us to EMPOWER us to solve problems, not RUNAWAY and AFRAID OF PROBLEMS! "If Holy Spirit has equiped us with POWER, why should probems be in control in our life? Be a problem solver!" He said.

I can’t say I can be a perfect problem solver now… But at least now I start seeing problems in a different way, in a positive point of view…

  1. Oh, so you also went to Thailand? How do you think about it? Was it great? Did you get a chance to see the Thai Girl show (ahaha…I don’t recommend it though, because it was just so NC-21, according to what my Mama said)? Was it THAT hard just to find some mineral water? Well, Romy, wasn’t it like… sold everywhere? But yet you got a lot of “things”, enough to encourage you, make you a better person, because you know, I didn’t even get a chance to go to church there…
